The first light of day: Haeata paua shell
In Māori, Haeata means dawn, the first ray of light, and stands for insight. The word also describes the bright glow of a shiny object, and that is exactly how this wavy paua shell shimmers in dark purple and green.
It hangs from a black nylon cord that you can adjust to any length. Made for beaches, waves, and sunrises.
- Length: fully adjustable up to 60 cm using a sliding knot
- Material: black nylon cord and a genuine paua shell from New Zealand
- Feel: lightweight and soft, with a length you set yourself
- Water-resistant & easy to care for: nylon dries quickly; simply wipe it with a clear, damp cloth every now and then
- Unique: every paua shell is one of a kind, and you will receive this exact piece
Handcrafted with love in Kiel. Our jewelry is water-resistant & perfect for every coastal moment.

Who is behind Salty Dreamers?
We are Fynn & Felize, that's it. In early 2021, we returned from a trip to New Zealand, full of inspiration and with the desire to create jewelry with meaning. Since then, we have been assembling our necklaces, bracelets, and earrings by hand in Kiel.
Will I receive exactly the product shown?
Yes, with our unique pieces, you get exactly the item shown. If you wish, we'd be happy to customize it to your preferences; simply tell us what you'd like. :)
What exactly is the Paua shell?
The paua shell is a sea snail from New Zealand and belongs to the abalone family. It is known for its exceptionally vibrant colors. No shell is the same; each is a unique natural creation. In New Zealand’s Māori culture, the paua represents protection and a connection to the sea. We source our shells sustainably and with certification from New Zealand and handcraft the fragments into jewelry in Kiel. You can find out more here.

Die Halskette ist einfach ein Traum! Ich habe sie sogar im Urlaub zum Schnorcheln anbehalten und sie hat es ohne Probleme überstanden. Unglaubliche Qualität.
It's like wearing a piece of the ocean - the colors are incredible!
Love knowing I'm supporting a small shop with this unique piece. The craftsmanship is top-notch, and the necklace feels special and meaningful. Thanks for answering my questions as well. ;)
I'm not the gentlest person with my jewelry, but this necklace has held up amazingly! The quality is fantastic, and the colors are just stunning.
