Kiel is our home. Our studio is located here, this is where it all began, and this is where most of our workshops take place. You sit together at a table, with pearls, shells, and sea glass in front of you, and everyone creates their own piece of jewelry from the sea. We show you step by step how it's done and are there to help you throughout.
Two ways to join a workshop in Kiel
- Private workshop for your group: for bachelorette parties, birthdays, girls' nights out, baby showers, or team events, for 6 or more people, approximately 3 hours, from €64.95 per person.
- Public session at Café Alma: for individuals, couples, and small groups of up to 10 people, approximately 2.5 hours, €59.90 per person, Wilhelminenstraße 19. View dates and waiting list
Where in Kiel?
At your place, in the office, in the holiday apartment, or at a location we find together. We have had good experiences with Café Alma and the Anschar Campus. We bring the tools and materials, you just need a few tables.
A perfect day in Kiel
Many groups combine the workshop with a walk along the Kiellinie, brunch beforehand, or dinner afterwards. The workshop takes place indoors and works in all weather, even in the Kiel winter.

Who is the workshop suitable for?
For anyone who feels like getting creative and making their own jewelry. Private group bookings are available for 6 or more people and are particularly suitable for bachelorette parties, birthdays, or team events. For smaller groups, our public dates are a great option.
Do I need to have hands-on experience?
No, not at all. We will guide you step by step through everything; all you need is a desire for something creative and the joy of creating something with your own hands. A little tip: Think beforehand about what kind of jewelry you want to make; that will make starting even easier.
What materials are available on-site?
We offer a wide selection of freshwater pearls, shells, sea glass, glass beads, as well as various chains and clasps in gold and silver. And the best part: If you have treasures you've found yourself, such as beach glass or shells, feel free to bring them along, and we'll see together how we can incorporate them into your jewelry piece.
What can I make?
You can choose between a stainless steel necklace, bracelet, or anklet in gold or silver and 925 sterling silver earrings. We’ll explain everything else when you arrive.

Behind Salty Dreamers are just two people with true passion and a huge love for jewelry and creativity. We don't do mass events—every workshop is personal, lively, and unique because we're right there with you, helping out. If there's one thing we're good at, it's nurturing creativity. Can I bring my own materials or found objects?
Yes, absolutely! If you have collected treasures from the beach yourself, such as sea glass or shells, just bring them along. We'll work together to see how we can incorporate them into your piece of jewelry. We even have a drill on-site and can drill holes as needed.
Where is the workshop taking place?
We are very flexible when it comes to planning: you are welcome to organize a suitable venue yourselves, hold the workshop at someone's home, or we can look for a nice option together. So far, we have had particularly good experiences with Café Alma and the Anschar Campus in Kiel—both cozy places with a relaxed atmosphere. We always coordinate the exact details regarding the venue with you individually.
What's included in the price?
All tools, materials and accessories are provided. You will create your own piece of jewelry, which you can take home at the end. If you would like to make more than one piece, this is possible on site for a small additional material fee.
How long is the workshop?
The workshop lasts approx. 3 hours. This is enough time to assemble a piece of jewelry at your leisure and spend time together in a relaxed atmosphere. At our private events, most people also create a second piece of jewelry, which is possible for a small additional material fee.
